Message from the Chief

On behalf of all the members of the Rosendale Fire Department I would like to welcome you to our website.  Please browse the different pages and feel free to contact any of the officers or members to answer any of your questions.  The Rosendale Fire Department is one of five fire deparments in the Town of Rosendale. The other fire departments in the Town of Rosendale are Bloomington, Cottekill, High Falls and Tillson.

We are a part of the Ulster County mutual aid agreement and respond to assist other agencies when called upon.  We respond to a large variety of emergency situations including but not limited to; fires, medical calls, rescues, hazardous materials, outdoor electrical, flooding conditions, carbon monoxide and any other emergency situations that may arise.  We are here to serve the members of our community in their time of need.

We are always in need of new members.  There are many "jobs" within our fire department that require many different people with varying talents.  Wednesday evenings are our training nights and the first Tuesday of each month is our department meeting. If you would like to find out more about what we do, please feel free to stop in and we will gladly show you around.  If you can not stop and have questions, please feel free to contact me via email.

In closing, I would like to thank the members of our community for their support over the many years of this departments existence.  Without that support we would never be able to provide the services that we do in your times of need.

Thank you,

Nick Rider, Fire Chief
